NBC Universal TV Series "Psych" Shoots In Central Okanagan

"Psych" on set at Cedar Creek Estate Winery

From August 21st to 22nd, the NBC Universal Television Series "Psych" shot at both Cedar Creek Estate Winery and Quails Gate Family Estate Winery. "Psych" is a comedic television series centered on a character named Shawn Spencer (played by James Roday), who when mistaken by local police for a psychic, decides to open his own psychic-detective agency with his childhood friend Gus (played by Dule Hill). Thanks to his astute observations, he has become a professional psychic detective...with absolutely no psychic abilities.

A&E Mini-Series "The Andromeda Strain" Shoots in Hedley

Scott Free Productions, owned and operated by Tony and Ridley Scott, shot The Andromeda Strain in Hedley August 10th - 14th.

From August 10th to 14th, the city of Hedley served as a major location for shooting of the A&E Mini-Series "The Andromeda Strain". The production is produced by Scott Free Productions, owned and operated by Tony and Ridley Scott who are behind such titles as Gladiator, The Assassination of Jesse James By the Coward Robert Ford, In Her Shoes, Matchstick Men and many others.

"The Andromeda Strain" is a remake of the 1971 feature film of the same name, and based on the book by Michael Crichton, and will air on A&E as a mini-series. The production stars well known actors Benjamin Bratt, Christa Miller, Rick Schroeder, and Eric McCormack and is directed by Academy Award nominated cinematographer Mikael Solomon.
